she offers a smile , albeit weak & faint – she doesn’t like to see anyone upset or tense , least of all a friend ( and by now , she feels , that’s a title well-earned ) . she wishes she had some type of advice to share, but everything she considers feels as though it falls short of what he needs to hear. ‘ well, at least we know he really is your brother. ’ a snort & a more genuine attempt at a smile accompanies her words, but she’s still concerned. ‘ i wouldn’t want to be alone either. that’s probably enough , for now. just having someone around. have you tried – talking to him about it yet ? ’

                                      ^{☆ ⁞        ❛  i  want  to.  i  want  to  know  what  i  can  do  to  help  him,  you  know ??  but  every  time  i  get  ready  to,  i  either  CHICKEN  OUT  or  he  starts  talking  about  something  else.  ❜  he   gets  it,  he  really  does.  he  knows  if  it  had  been  him,  he  would  never  want  to  talk  about  it.  not  only  would  he  fear  seeming  WEAK,  but  the memories  -  he’s  sure  -  aren’t  the  funnest  ones  to  talk  about.  so,  jonathan,  instead,  settles  for  protecting  will  while  he  sleeps  and  shushing  him  softly  when  he  happens  to  wake  from  a  nightmare.  it’s  not  IDEAL,  but  it’s  the  best  he  can  do  for  now.  ❛  I’ll  just…  just  give  him  time.  i  think  that’s  all  he  needs.  ❜}
